Job Description: *Performance/Automation Engineer *
Direct Client NYC 6 months
Description
Senior QA Performance and Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for
performing extensive performance testing and test automation of a Prime
Brokerage, Global Securities Lending, Equity Research and HOLT application
suite.
Scope of work includes:
- Exceptional technical and analytical skills. Ability to think outside
the "box"
- Performance testing and analysis of batch applications on various
technical platforms: (UNIX, Windows, Linux, IBM Mainframe)
- End-to-end integration performance testing of critical business flows
across diverse technological platforms, including a combination of online
and batch applications
- Performance testing of online (Web, client/server and messaging)
applications using LoadRunner
- Monitoring of key hardware, OS and application characteristics during
the online and batch performance testing
- Collaboration and coordination with application development,
infrastructure, database and OS support subject matter experts in all phases
of performance testing and analysis
- Analysis, documentation and presentation of the performance testing
results to all levels of management and business groups
- Active participation and contribution in the knowledge share program
within and outside the QA Team
- Automation of Web and Client/Server applications using Quick Test Pro
(QTP) in combination with VB, Java or any other scripting language
- Customization of the Test Automation Framework to .Net Fluid
Technology, using descriptive programming techniques
- Integration of the automated test suite into Quality Center (QC)
- Test harnessing including data analysis and maintenance
Qualifications
Technical / Business Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of HP LoadRunner, HP Quick Test Pro (QTP), and HP Quality
Center (QC)
- Strong knowledge of UNIX, Windows, Linux OS environments
- Strong knowledge of OS, Database, hardware and network monitoring
- Strong knowledge of SQL and SQL-based tools (DB Artisant, SQL Plus, Toad,
etc.)
- Strong knowledge of full life-cycle test methodologies, tools and SDLC
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to "hit the ground running" in a fast-paced, technologically
challenging environment
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio,
PowerPoint)
Work Experience
We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Performance and Test
Automation Engineers who have 5+ yrs of experience working in a Brokerage
House or in a Bank. Candidates with previous software development experience
in a relevant field will be considered as well.
Education
4 year college degree; advanced degree a plus
