Required Skills:

1 Basic understanding
Has a basic understanding of testing methodology.

2 Working experience (5-6 years of application testing experience)
Has Experience testing Java Applications.
Has Experience with database structures.
Has experience setting up and testing new or old batch programs, JCL and
PROCS
Has reviewed, documented and organized test results and defects.

3 Extensive experience
The QA Tester must have experience creating automated scripts for regression
testing and performance testing.
The Tester must have extensive experience writing SQL queries.

4 Subject matter depth and breadth

Enhance existing MS Access application(s) including relational database,
user interface and reporting to support critical business processes.

Engagement will involve the following:
Under general direction and coaching, documents detailed business
requirements for database upgrade, including migration of Access tables to
SQL Server 2000.
Database design and development, modifying moderately complex applications
from requirements definition.
Codes, tests, debugs, and documents those functionality changes.
Participates in requirements, development and implementation of applications
upgrades.
Develops functionality to capture history of record updates and records
achieve
Specifications and development of new reports (including exporting to MS
Office applications, and PDF format)
Develops documentation including installation and operating procedures, data
flow diagrams and flowcharts.

Developer will partner with business personnel to complete analysis of
business needs and interpretation of business requirements and conceptual
design into technical solution. With guidance from business personnel,
developer will be required to understand existing application and recommend
and implement enhancements to improve functionality and reporting
capabilities.
Developer will complete technical design and development of interface using
MS Access 2003 and SQL Server. Developer will design, code, test, debug,
document, package and distribute the application and ensure the application
is production-ready and maintainable.
Developer must be competent to work at a high technical level for the entire
application development life-cycle.
Experience
Minimum 5 - 10 years application development experience required
Development of desktop, client server applications using MS Access 2003, SQL
required
Package and deployment in a multi-user client server LAN environment
required
Ability to integrate MS Access with other applications (MS Outlook, MS
Excel, MS Word) required
Ability to develop and administer multi-user database securely required
Extensive data manipulation including query development, grouping, sorting
and filtering required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
