Maybe in a certain sense, but remember that Java is not only used in
Web-wide applets, also applications. (Which is what I mainly use Java for.)
For the applet point of view, yes, for applications - Java is just another
(very cool, robust, WORA) programming language. Java is NOT just for the
WWW!
