I don't know if we are alowed by the license...

Note - if you have not already done so, look into LFTP - this is a very
nice FTP client that works very nicely, including dealing with a dropped
connection where you get back at a different IP address.  It even does nice
things like putting itself in the background, letting you type ctrl-z and
start other FTP operations while the last one is still going, etc.

I would highly recommend it.
