Actually, if you're already doing Java and just want to get your feet wet
with CORBA, JDK 1.2 contains a CORBA transient name source and an IDL
compiler (actually, I'm not sure if idltojava comes with JDK 1.2, but it's
downloadable from somewhere or other). That's probably the path of least
resistance, as long as there's a version of JDK 1.2 that runs on your
target platform (I'm not sure if 1.2 has been ported to linux yet).
