Yes, 1.3.

If you were at JavaOne, the Java 2 SE roadmap was presented at:

In the 1.6MB .pdf on that page, slide 6 (of 28) shows a red dot dated
1Q00 (that would be CY00).  That release is code named "kestrel", and
over in engineering we tend to call it 1.3.

Nope.  Minor upgrade.  The purple dot marked 4Q01 might be like 1.2.
For now the emphasis is stability, reliability and performance.  I am
beginning to sound like our marketing dept, but from the engineering
trenches it does look like that is what we are doing.
