I've now run the matrix bench over all hot VM's:
BlackdownJDK1.2.2RC3, SunInpriceJDK1.2.2RC1, IBMJDK1.1.8,
BlackdownJDK1.2PreV2, all running RedHat 6.1 on the same machine, a
PentiumIII@600 MHz

All three of them are doing a very good job, with IBM1.1.8 outstanding,
at least in these measurements.

(BTW, I am not working for either of these teams.)
