Java-Linux Developers and AnyJ Supporters,
I just got this from the developers of AnyJ, take a look at what will be in AnyJ 2.0 ( Spring 2000 Release Estimate ), oh GOD THIS LOOKS SWEET.

We redesign the data model. There is a datastore (similar to a database, but smaller and faster), where all settings are stored. AnyJ's settins dialogs are accessing and manipulating data in this datastore. Additonally a user can create new Entries using a separate "datastroe explorer" and refer to them from any other setting (like shell variables) .
A good part of AnyJ's GUI is replaced by swing. Only list/table/tree controls are not taken from swing (speed). Additionally it will be much easier for us to create new options. And it is very easy to "multicast" options, e.g. providing several deployment settings per project (not 1:1 as currently). There will be some new features like immediate error recognition (underlined), a better debugger, CVS support and a number of Standard Beans (+ very much improved) GUI-Builder, a click and drag "Weblication" builder plugin + support for database access. Another new featrue will be a bug tracker plugin, which supports distributed development and drops bug reports directly into anyj. Creating plugins will be documented and very easy (direct support as a "project type")

I want this now....... and its also still free under Linux, I can't wait!
