As a test I tried jdk1.2.2 with staroffice 5.1 on my NT box.
It appears to work fine. During the installation it did locate
the new jdk. On another win98 box it did not locate the new jdk
and went ahead and installed jdk1.1.7. I have not tried it yet
on my linux box. Your problem may have something to do with
a mix of old and new java.
