I posted this last week. I have some more info, and someone asked me to
post a URL for the applet itself.
Here is the info:
Linux cobalt.internal.qspasp.net 2.2.12-20 #1 Mon Sep 27 10:40:35 EDT 1999
i686 unknown (stock redhat 6.1)
netscape 4.72
./java -version in the .netscape/java/bin dir sez:
Classic VM (build Linux_JDK_1.2.2_RC4, native threads, sunwjit)
the error is at:
http://calico.gator.net/~blue/netscape.error.gif
you can log into the affected applet by pointing your browser at:
http://www.aspbase.qspasp.net
username is blackdown
passwd is luvjava
there's nothing secret on there, we just add passwds to all of our pages
by default. :P
if you need a copy of ldconfig -D, holler and i'll post it as a web page.
this all works under windows.. not that that does me any good, but just in
case you were gonna ask. :P
thanks much!
