Over the past week I've been trying to get JDK 1.2.2 to work on my Sun Sparc 10 with RH6.2 installed. When ever I attempt to compile somthing using javac I get the following error: HotSpot VM warning: Cannot recognize SPARC version (0x5). Default to V9 # # HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, Unexpected Signal 4 # # Error ID: 4F533F4C494E55580E4350500CC0 FF # The program I am trying to compile is just a simple "Hello World" program.
