Have I lost touch with reality, or does that sound like a contradiction
in terms ("a lot of developer interest"/"won't support")?

I guess we'll hope to see this work properly in Blackdown's 1.4
(rather than change desktop environments).  Would any of the Blackdown
developers care to comment?
