I'm going to intentionally and totally ignore the rest of Dan's message except for this last part, which I entirely agree with. :) I think a lot of people, including of course the teams developing both projects, have opinions about which is a better stack to use in what situations. Asking either team directly is of course likely to get you a biased answer. Check out the stuff out on the web, and definitely consider trying both for a simple proof-of-concept to get a feel for the differences. I think you'll learn a lot in the process, and both communities will certainly try to help if you have questions. I'd prefer if we didn't get into this debate on these lists again.
