The FlatteningPathIterator is normally used as a utlility by implementors
of the Shape interface to satisfy the getPathIterator(AffineTransform,float)
method. Some Shape objects have other, more efficient ways of flattening
the iteration more directly and don't need the FlatteningPathIterator.
To get the best results (primarily from a performance perspective) it
is better to use the flattening getPathIterator() call and let the Shape
implementation decide how to honor the request than to ask for an
unflattened iterator and apply your own FlatteningPathIterator wrapper...
