I suggest that anyone considering participating in this process read the
JSPA (the document you have to sign to participate in the Java Community
Process) carefully. You may wish to compare Sun's "community process" with
the processes of open standards organizations such as IETF, W3C, ANSI, etc.,
particularly with respect to:
- Cost of participation;
- Openness of the discussion process to the public;
- Freedom to use the results of the process.
If you find you have opinions about any of these things, you may wish to
express them to Sun or in appropriate public forums.
