Just as a side note:

The general B-Spline uses the n points as "control points", meaning the line doesn't 
go through
the points necessarily.  Searching on the web or in a graphics book should get you the 
slight
modification needed which makes sure that all the points are present on the line 
itself.

I don't remember the specifics, but it is a slight difference in the algorithm.
