Guys, I'm starting the development of an UML diagramming application. Althought I have experience in java APIs, Java2D seems to be very low level for my kind of requirements. I wonder if someone of you know about a high level api based on Java2D. I'm also trying to find papers about patterns for diagramming tools. For instance, a box with an arrow attached to it should "move" the arrow when its position changes (sticky arrow).
