PS: I'd love to read some more Java2D stuff on your blog - what about something about what pipelines can do what operations quickest or with hw-acceleration - (like image scales, rotates, alpha-blending (transparent vs translucent), primitive shape draws, relative garbage, which pipelines are (usually) v-sync'ed etc). Right now it seems like a bit of a black box - it would be 100% sensational if you could spell out what Mustang is capable of.
