Hi there !
I just got today an SGI VisualWorkstation (PII450, 128 RAM) ...
I tried my java3D programs (JDK1.2).
the Canvas3D renders ok, with pretty good speed
(although not really much faster than NT4.0 and STB TNT Velocity
4400)...
Still, the billboard behaviors seems to have some problems (wrong
direction).
The real problem is that Swing looks ugly and verrrrry slow: the texts
are ugly (font looks
fat and edgy), sometimes the color of the Swing canvas is yellow or pink
...
Besides, the keyboard events give me problems, I suspect the SGI
keyboard might "use" different
virtual key codes ...
Has anyone else got any experience with Java2 and the SGI VW ??
