There are several Java-install encapsulating programs already created.

A list off of the JDJ includes:
J'express at www.denova.com
Installshield Java Edition at www.installshield.com
DashO Pro at www.preemptive.com
InstallAnywhere at www.zeroG.com
Install Toolkit for Java at www.alphaworks.ibm.com

Someone could put together a SmartApp (like MS does with their
smartupgrades) to determine what is necessary for the latest drivers
and install J3d and Java-Plugin and even JMF if desired. This could
run as an applet and be configurable by it's PARAMs.
If I had time I'd do it, but I'm so new to J3d and trying to be a LAN
ADMIN and Project Manager during the day, and Network/Web consultant at
night... I already feel like I'm running uphill on a runaway treadmill
from Hell.

Best Regards,
Matthew Carpenter
