I just downloaded and installed Java3d on an O2 with IRIX 6.5.2f.  I seem to
have read on one of the pages that you need jdk1.2 (at least) and IRIX 6.5.2.
I had to download the latest jdk from SGI and reinstall (latest java_eoe and
java_dev).  I also had java previously installed on that machine, but had to
upgrade to get j3d to work.  Check out:
