I'm currently working on a project that uses Java 1.2.2 and Java 3D 1.2.
One of the platforms
we're required to support is IRIX (SGI's operating system). Unfortunately,
SGI always seems to
be behind the curve as far as Java is concerned.

Java 3D 1.1.3 was just released on IRIX, so I'm pretty sure Java 3D 1.2 for
IRIX is pretty far off.
We're using the newer pick utilities and OrientedShape3D's which are not
available in Java
3D 1.1.3. Is it possible that if a user has Java 3D 1.1.3 installed, that I
could use Java 3D 1.2
classes (i.e. provide the newer Java 3D jar files along with our
application).

I was hoping that we wouldn't have to write a version specifically for SGI.
I would greatly
appreciate any help that could be provided.
