Well, yes, but I can't recall a situation where I've ever seen a base
class in a major API redefined.

I certainly think that with J3D most developers would accept a fairly
major rewrite of the API at some point. It's not as if there's a great
deal of code out there in the commercial domain.

Is it likely to happen? Is Bill Gates poor...?
