Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me. I am
reposting this message to the group to see if anyone has come across this
problem or can give me any insight regarding this issue.
I have an application that creates a virtual world
using a vrml file. I need to run it on a system that uses a 2 monitor
display. Using a 2 monitor display I can set my display resolution to 2048
x 768. When I run my application on this system, the model aspect ration
when the view is rendered is changed and causes the model to appear short and
wide. When i run my application on a single monitor display, the model
uses the correct aspect ratio and the model looks fine. Does the view
somehow use the aspect ratio of the display resolution? Can anyone help me with
this or give me any ideas?
I've done some more investigation and have found
the following:
1. I have been able to reproduce this problem using
the "HelloUniverse" sample program on a dual monitor display. The spinning
block appears correctly on a single monitor system and appears short and wide on
a dual monitor system.
2. If I scale my model in the X and Y so that is looks short and wide on a
single monitor system, when it is run on a dual monitor system it appears
correct.
3. The display card for the dual monitor system is an Appian Jeronimo
Pro.
4. When I run the application on the dual monitor system and turn off one
of the monitors so that the system thinks it is a single monitor system, the
model appears correct.
If you have any question or need clarification,
please ask. I need to get this resolved quickly.
Thanks for any suggestions you can
offer,
Dean |
