Hi,

I figured out a work around for this.. In the
java.policy file under jdk1.3/jre/lib/security add
these few lines after line 6

grant codeBase "file:/c:/directory/*" {
        permission java.security.AllPermission;
};

This allows applet to have all access to the files
under the specified directory. Remember this better be
used for just testing otherwise the purpose of sandbox
is defeated.
