I think the point everyone is missing is that this will really only work in a
controlled environment, but if he's writing an applet, then he wants it to work
in a lot of different situations, and setting the security level in your browser
isn't going to cut it.
Either read it from the server it was downloaded from, put it in a jar file, or
get a certificate.
