Java3D Programmer Sought by San Francisco Area Start-Up

Berkeley-based Internet start-up company seeks Java3D programmer.

Dream-come-true for programmers looking to work in an environment
where Java3D is the primary focus (not just a curiosity). Your Java3D
skills will earn you a stake in an emerging start-up. You can also
work your own hours at home.

Must know Java well and have experience coding applets and servlets.
Experience with and/or a working knowledge of Java3D version 1.2 or
1.3 (1.3 preferred) desirable, but we will consider a senior Java
programmer who is a quick study and is willing to take a
self-directed crash course in Java3D. Other requirements are: A
strong understanding of objected oriented coding techniques and core
class development, RMI.

Not required but extra points for understanding distributed
computing, "peer-to-peer," bandwidth optimization techniques, UML
("patterns"), HTML, data modeling with object oriented databases such
as Oracle 8i, n-tier system architectures (web application server,
etc.), experience in Jsps, XML, EJBs and CORBA.

The company can provide you with all available documentation,
tutorials, whitepapers and books about the Java3D API (some that are
hard to find). A strong Java programmer should be able to pick up key
concepts and apply them without much effort.

Your role will be to help in the completion of a Java3D-based product
prototype. We are close to getting venture funding, so we have a
compressed time schedule for finishing the project. Because of this,
your time commitment will only be until the end of July, or possibly
sooner if the work is completed ahead of schedule. Once the prototype
is done, your work will be finished but you will retain your share in
the company and you will be first in line for a top position after
funding is finalized.

You may work your own schedule, part-time or full-time, but we are a
results-based company and everyone is committed to completing a
series of milestones within a specified timeframe. Self-motivation
and self-discipline is absolutely required.

You may remain otherwise employed if you so choose, just so long as
you meet the critical path and complete clearly-defined assignments.
If you have the proper skills, the tasks you will be asked to
complete will actually be not that difficult or time-consuming --
measured in days and weeks, not months.

This is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an
explosive new start-up that will soon be making headlines. We have an
extremely strong business model and are expected to be positioned for
a market leadership position within a year.

As compensation you will be given part ownership of the company. YOUR
SALARY WILL BE DELAYED until funding, but at that point you will be
able to write your own ticket. As a stakeholder and possible board
member, your rewards will be more than substantial. A competitive
salary will be only part of your compensation package.

Our company is in "stealth mode" due to the high stakes in the
market, but more will be revealed during a casual and friendly
interview process after you sign a standard non-disclosure agreement.

If you are not a United States citizen we will supply work visa
status and help secure living quarters once we receive funding.
