Sun's Java 3D "JavaSound" AudioDevice3D implementation uses javax.sound to
play rendered positional sounds and MIDI sound data.
There are several threads created by Java 3D for scheduling and rendering
positional sounds. The memory usage is minial IF you use uncached, streaming
Media Containers.
The CPU overhead for sound rendering in Java 3D depends on number of sound
sources created and if reverb or filtering are used.
I'm afraid I don't have exact usage number to give you. Sorry if this is
too vague to be useful.
