Hello
all,
Here at Oceanic Consulting, part of our work involves
running numerical simulations for seakeeping, manoeuvring, etc for ships, boats,
tug and barge combinations, offshore structures, etc. Clients send us CAD
drawings which we need to convert to proprietary formats for the numerical
engines. To that end, we have developed a "CAD-like" application (geometry
editor) which allows us to mesh from a CAD format to proprietary format and then
fine-tune the mesh, as necessary, to achieve the best possible configuration for
the simulation engine. There are some other smaller projects, but the editor has
reduced our time requirements for geometry conversions significantly.

Subject: [JAVA3D] Your Java3D ApplicationsEverybody,There must be a fair bit of Java3D development going on out there for this mailing list to be constantly ticking.Thing is, I never see any of you write exactly what it is you are doing. I don't know about anyone else but I would be quite interested to know about what applications were on their way/in development using Java3D.I'll start offPROJECT: Java3D Molecular Visualisation SystemPURPOSE: Renders popular molecular file data formats into 3D interactive representations:STATUS: Version 2 released early 2000.
