Hello all,

After recently changing machines, I noticed drastic changes in
rendering quality with the ATI Rage Pro video drivers. I had been using
drivers 5.1.118 but "upgraded" to 5.2.040. This caused some horrible squares
to appear at the vertices of polygons within a Shape3D when rendering in
mode PolygonAttributes.POLYGON_LINE - (i.e. wire mesh - see attached screen
shots). The squares appear and disappear as the shape is rotated. Switching
back to the 5.1.118 drivers solved the problem. These squares did not seem
to appear when rendering with filled polygons or when rendering with points
only. The attached images show the differences between the two driver sets.
The point is: I'd recommend sticking with 5.1.118 if your work
involves a lot of wire frame models.
