[JAVA3D] Tools for making 3d-objects?

Hi everyone.   Is there any simple program for designing 3d-objects? With java3d came those Morphing-examples, where objectfiles were used to make moving 3d-hand. Object-file had hundreds and hundreds of numbers for shaping the hand, and I find it hard to believe that someone had imagined those numbers all in his head...   There is probably a simple way, but I cant find it (and I'm lousy in finding anything from internet). Could you suggest where to find what I need?   Arto Paasovaara
