[JAVA3D] I want to remove or add some child node in compiling scene graph

Now i displayed a graph consisting of 1000 boxes,
and now i want to add a button which  i pressed,i can only display 1 box or
100 box,can some one
tell me how to do?

if i want to pick some one box of  1000 boxes,how to do?
Please give me some help ,the best give me some example code!!
