Thanks for your help but what do you mean with sharing of geometry references ? You 
mean working with the shared group - nodes ? And then creating different universes 
with links to the subgraphs I want per view ?

In the current version of Java 3D, it is difficult to do this.  The only
way possible is to create multiple virtual universe objects with similar
scene graphs.  Each virtual universe would have its own view.  Since you
can share geometry references across universes, the memory overhead isn't
too bad.  We have a couple of Java 3D users doing it this way.

In the 1.3 version of Java 3D, we are looking at adding the abiltiy to
scope a scene graph to a view.  This is very usefull in this scenerio as
well as heads up display and headlight usage with multiple views.
