Thanks for your help !!

But still a question. I understand you mean the Navigator's Java console. It has some
commands represented by keys. Is it possible to type commands like 'policytool' ? How ?

Thanks in advanced !!

Dani

Hi Dani

you have to edit your policy file to set the applets permissions on files and/or urls,
or
get a certificate for yout access.

For development and testing try:
Just type "policytool" in your java console, configure the policy and save it as
.java.policy in your user folder. Play around with the tool to understand it and
have a look at the written files (they are textfiles).

The applet/browser reads the policy tool at startup and compares the permission, when
accessing
files.

Hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Karsten
