I believe the chipset you are referring to is the GeForce2Go.=A0 I have =
no
personal experience with the chipset (is it even available in a =
portable
on the market yet?), but I do have experience with the ATI Mobility =
128,
specifically in the Dell Inspiron 5000e.=A0 I bought two, and they =
worked
like a charm, but I do believe I had to place them in 32-bit color mode
(which looks great anyway).=A0 The version in the 5000e has 16meg of
texture memory.=A0 That was about 2 months ago, and I haven't had the
laptops since then, so I can't say that I have tested them on a daily
basis.
=A0
I'd love to get my hands on a GeForce2Go though.... ;)

Subject: [JAVA3D] Laptops once again

I am real excited....=A0 I was just told I can go out and buy *any* =
laptop
I want and the "company" will pay for it.=A0=20

I want to make *sure* I can run Java 3D on whatever I get.=A0 I know =
that
this has been asked before, but since new Laptops and graphics chips
appear all the time, I'll ask it again:

What laptops with what graphics chips is reliable for running Java 3D,
OpenGL mode, Windows 2000 operating system?=A0 (Gee I wish Java 3D =
worked
on Apple laptops!)

I heard that there is a "new" graphics chip for laptops...=A0 Something
called Ge forces mobile graphics chip?=A0 I have no idea if that's what
its really called....=A0 Anyone have any info?

A list of what to stay away from would be very useful to me as well.=20

Thanks,=20
