Dear Friends,
I installed the JAVA3D visualization tool on Solaris 5.8 with the
graphics card like gfxp0, accompanying with the installation of the jdk
1.2.2_07, java3d 1.2.1, OpenGL1.2.1 and plug-in 1.2.2_02. Now I can
compile the software. But when I run it in the following ways, it always
gives me the corresponding error messages:
1)Application error messages.
When I type "java-debug CLASSNAME", the following messages appears:
Can find class sun.tools.agent.Agent
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
See details in the file err for running as an application.
2)Appletviewer errors
See the file err_appletviewer for using the appletivewer.
3)
See the file err_plugin for running in a browser.
For the error like "can't open files", I did modify the "properties"
file by adding
"ac1.read=/home/myfiles/mydata" But still it didn't work.
Could the segmentation violation problem be related to the graphics borad?
Should what patch be downloaded in case the problem is related to the
graphics board?
You help will be greatly appreciated.
