Actually, there is already a question in there very closely related on
the speed issues page:

7. How can I stop 100% CPU utilisation?

It doesn't include the tidbit about it taking the priority of the thread
that created it. That's news to me. I don't think it has ever done this
before. It always used to use the max priority. Before putting this in
the FAQ, I'd like to confirm that this is really the case because it
contradicts what everyone else from Sun has stated previously.

Note to Sun: this is precisely why we need specification documents so
that we can track whether you are just making these things up as you go
along.
