I have a somewhat older version of x3d.jar file and
have just found a
bug in vrml loader, at least in my version. The bug
appears as a result
of a statement in vrml97 file
ccw FALSE
I checked the source code. I can clearly see where as
a result of this
instruction we change the order of vertices in a
TriangularArray.
However, I could not found a place where anything
similar is done with
texture coordinates. As a result, textures are
completely messed up. By
further playing with my example, I managed to "beat"
this bug. I manually
changed ccw to TRUE
ccw TRUE
and set PolygonalAttribute to CULL_FRONT. This huk
fixed textures.
My question is the following.
Was this bug reported or fixed in more recent virsions
of x3d.jar? Did
anybody come across this problem before and how did
you manage to fix
it.
Thank you for your help.
Boris
