I get roughly the same as you do on my laptop with similar performance, 750MHz
PIII, 512MB on a 16Meg Rage ATI graphics card. I'm not convinced that the
hardware OpenGL acceleration is being used. There are a few bugs in 1.2.1 to do
with ATI cards so I'm expecting something a little faster in the near future.
Personally I'm quite happy with the speed, we're not modelling anything as
complex.
