You are close. Actually I want the text to be on the screen already(when
the user opens up the page, ie turns the page in the book) and as the new
page is being opened have the narrated sound automatically start. As the
narrator is saying what is on the screen, have the already existing text
"morph" into another color. The trick is that I it needs to "morph" from
left to right in sync with the narrator. I'm not even sure this is
possible! I was thinking today that I could animate a pointlight across
the text, which might give me what I am looking for.

What do you mean by timers? I think I have it setup to the default, which
I believe is the system timer. The problem I have is that my
simpleUniverse is made up of 8 different pages. The user can click on the
next button at anytime, which makes timing the animations very hard. I
need the timing of each animation to start when the new branchgroup page
is added, but the system starts each animation at runtime. I don't know
how to change that behavior.

Thanks,

Nathan
