Nope.  I don't think there is any easy solution.

1. You would need to be calculate for every line segment whether it should
be shown.  If this is a hidden line removal algorthim then it will not be
fun.
2. On every frame you would need to update your geometry to make the change.

One way you could cheat is to place solid walls bounded by your line
segments, as if your object was solid.  Then turn their rendering attribute
visibility OFF.  According to the documentation they are still pickable.
Now each time the view or object is rotated cast a pick ray from the eye
location to each line segment. If the ray hits one of these "invisible
walls" then the line segment should not be shown.
