I also want to see if Java3D can cut it in a game environment ?
Been playing with a couple of ideas and started working on an
interface, but still learning a lot of the whole API and 3D graphics
in general.

I am in California, stuck in the primitive world of Autodesk, who hasnt yet
figured out which tool to use for developing platform independent software.
Eventually the answer is Java, but some people have the habbit of learning
the hardway. And thats I had my remarks about *Americans*; No Java3D jobs
available out here.
Anyway. I have done some 3D Stock charts in Java3D at my last job (Mr Timmy
Tong asked how to do that in the mailing list, never got a chance to reply
to him). Now I am planning to do a 3D Game or VR in Java3D in my free time.
Havent come up with a design or spec yet. If someone have some cool ideas
and wants to work together I might look into it. If u wanna take a look at
my "first" java3d applet. checkout

Thats the reason I was amazed by the work done by
http://www.hta-bi.bfh.ch/~swc/DemoJ3D/Glymp3D/
Even though the user interface is really poor in that Game. Which, I
suppose, is still under construction.
