Java is great for 3d animtion on the web & in mobile devices.

Yes, you can do 3d in mobile devices, I posted a "general
interest" note for those might be interested about a month ago,
just before JavaOne:

3D Games & 3D Business Applications in Phone, PDAs, etc.
============================= ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
| J-Phone will unveil a "color 3-D mobile phone" designed to run
| Java applets rendering 3-D polygon-based objects in software
| [ at JavaOne __ this week __ in San Fransisco ].
|
| A Java-enabled 3-D cell phone, called J-SH07, is scheduled
| for rollout in Japan this month and will be produced by
| Sharp Corp [ and Sharp will demo a PDA with Linux & Java
| at JavaOne _ this week _ ... and be sold in volume this year. ]
|
| No current cell phones use hardware graphics acceleration
| to drive 3-D applications on cell phones ... But as the demand for
| graphics grows, service providers and handset vendors in Japan
| face a pressing need to enable2-D and 3-D graphics processing,
|
| ... consumers love the new multimedia functions and applications
| designed to run on their cell phones.

Yes, you can do anything with Java ...

Web 3d ... with a Browser ... you get 3d Animation.

We have the tools:

  1) the Web & the Web Browser.
  2) VRML
  3) Java
  4) VRML Viewers to render 3d in browsers with Java.

And that is sufficient, we need nothing more.

We can render 3d worlds in any browser, anyhwere ...

... if the browser supports Java ... and fortunately ...
... most browsers support Java ... including the new ...
... mobile & embedded devices ... Beyond The Desktop ...
