How about filtering out attachments to this list which are over 100k or so?
I'm on such a fast connection at work that I haven't been bothered on this
particular list, but it seems to me that the capability to send
bandwidth-guzzling, inbox-overloading monster attachments is far more
trouble than it's worth. Perhaps if there was a known 100k limit (say)
people would take the trouble to do things like trim their half-dozen
screen shots down to the minimum size necessary to get their message across.

Perhaps, too, removing the capability to send attachments big enough to bug
the hell out of people would make it less likely that sincere pleas for
help (accompanied by such attachments) would be met with nothing but
complaints. As it happens I, too, would like to rotate my objects around
their own axes but am having some trouble.

Who's with me? How many people on this list have to use modems slow enough
that a 400k download is something you get bored waiting to finish?
