Not sure where you got the WML bit from. It is a VRML97 + experimental VRML200x/X3D set of libraries. As for VRML97 support, we're about 60% of the way there. 14 of the 54 nodes are not implemented and protos are parsed but not loaded. They're next. From talking with various folks here at Siggraph, we should have a bunch more stuff coming in very quickly - EAI, MovieTextures, sound (although Java3D has some well know problems in that area) and protos are all on their way very shortly. What is can't do, is handle the new scenegraph I/O stuff. I seriously doubt we'll ever be able to support it due to the runtime requirements of VRML but I've lined up a couple of hours chat with Paul Byrne today to see if there may be some way of handling it. The main problem revolves around non-Java 3d code. For example, handling scripts, which are not Java3D. They may be normal Java code (which may not be serialisable) or ECMAScript or something else. Runtime structures for event model management aren't reproducable, canvas handling, and many more all cause problems. -- Justin Couch http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Freelance Java Consultant http://www.yumetech.com/ Author, Java 3D FAQ Maintainer http://www.j3d.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Humanism is dead.
