topic is overlays. I want to tie my overlays to an arbitrary 2D coordinate on the
screen. I'm attaching the
overlay in the avatar branch. I simply couldn't figure out how to get to a appropriate
transformation from
2D to 3D that projects the 2D coordinate in space (at a specified distance from the
viewer) in avatar
coordinates. The transform needs to consider several things like the current canvas
dimensions, the current
clipping planes (-> specified distance) and other nasty things.

Has anyone done this before??? Is there a method, i've simply missed like
Canvas3D.getScreenCoordinateToAvatarCoordinates( Point point, double d ).

Any hints are very welcome.
