Ok, Mozilla 0.9.5 under Linux works flawlessly.
Netscape 4.77 crashes with PRECISELY the same runtime messages that Windows Internet Explorer 6.0 gives me.
Konqueror complains that it needs the Java plugin (but the Java plugin is already installed) so I can't get any data with Konqueror.
The fact that my app works under Mozilla and fails under Netscape 4.77 (Linux) AND Internet Explorer 6.0 tells me that this is either a plugin issue or an issue with how the browsers use the plugin.
Guess that puts the issue in Sun's court.

Of course, that's what I get for using a toy operating system like
Windows. Also my browser is Internet Explorer 6.0. I'll try to
run this on some other browsers to see if I have the same problem.
I suspect I will.
