I've got a very interesting rendering problem. The problem is this: The Java 3D scene constists of two planets connected by a cylinder. When I navigate in the scene one of the planets disappears at random (it is not always at the same point when it disappears). For example, one of the planets disappear when I move my view to the right, or they disappear when I move backwards. It's not the clipping distance. I've checked. When I turn 360 degrees the Planet re-appears.
Now I think it's got something to do with the fact that two planets are positioned into different Locales. The universe is created is follows: Universe |-- Locale -- View -- ..... |-- Locale -- Planet1 (with cylinder) |-- Locale -- Planet2 The position of the planets is close to each other (about 100 apart) so they can be seen at the same time. The reason that I think it's because the Locales are so close to each other is that when Planet1 disappears the cylinder also disappears at the same time. Does Java3D have a problem with Locales that are positioned close to each other? or is there something I've overlooked? =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff JAVA3D-INTEREST".
