After Justin's recent reply to a newbie about performing Rotations in
Java3D, I noticed Justin's link to the J3D Org's info on quaternions. Even
though i am not really involved in Java3D any longer I decided to take a peek.

When I followed the link:
http://www.j3d.org/faq/manipulating.html#quaternions
I saw a link to the "The Matrix and Quaternions FAQ". Since I spent a
considerable amount of time looking over the Matrix and Quaternions FAQ
when i was getting started in Java3D, I decided to take a look.

I was completely astonished to see how outdated the version on the J3D site
was and that it contained the same old fundamental errors and even
contradicts itself..

Since I spent such a large amount of time fighting with the differences
between what the Java3D API actually did and what the "The Matrix and
Quaternions FAQ" said it should do, I feel that it is a huge mistake to
keep these mistakes out there in the public domain and perpetuate the same
problems on novices when we should be providing guidance to them.

Andreas Junghanns maintains an up-to-date version at:
http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~andreas/math/matrfaq_latest.html

Mona Wong had one at:
http://ncmir.ucsd.edu/~mona/matrfaq.html
but it seems to be down.

Justin, PLEASE FIX THIS.

Thanks.
