I agree with Eric's recommendation that the j3d FAQ should point to the cs.alberta.ca Quaternion FAQ.
Google gives about 2000 hits for [Quaternion +FAQ], and even the currently maintained ones obfuscate as much as they reveal. The real problem is that the quaternion FAQ is an orphan - it isn't a part of an established newsgroup, so it doesn't come under even the anarchistic controls newsgroups give or appear in any centralized repository. As a result there's not much motivation to pursue changes or improvements. I'll post for comments a summary I'm working on as soon as it's better than what's out there.
